The title of this book is "Advancing from eDiscovery to PreDiscovery," which alludes to some discipline called "PreDiscovery" out there. While I don't expect "PreDiscovery" to be a term that we start adding into our lexicons, I think it's an accurate descriptor of the role that Information Governance must play as a part of our eDiscovery process as we advance. Information Governance represents the work that must go into eDiscovery before we ever start talking about an individual case - thus, PreDiscovery is in the title. Don't go around trying to make "PreDiscovery" a term that we're all going to start using; I don't want that - none of us want that.
